CHANOGA SAFARIS

Born from the Okavango Delta

Chanoga Safaris was shaped by a lifelong relationship with the Okavango Delta.

The journeys created here are informed by place - its seasons, its rhythms, and the knowledge passed down through time. Each safari is designed with care, balancing structure and freedom, and allowing space for the land to lead the experience.

The emphasis is on depth rather than volume. On moving slowly. On being present. On travel that feels personal, considered, and grounded in respect for the wild places it moves through.

Experiencing Botswana

Botswana is not defined by a single landscape, but by the contrast between many - floodplains and desert, river forests and open salt pans.

Each region moves to its own rhythm, shaped by water, season, and migration. A journey through Botswana is therefore never just one place, but a series of landscapes unfolding over time.

The safaris created here are designed to move gently through these environments, allowing the character of each place to reveal itself.

Safaris

Some journeys are privately hosted, where David Weskob accompanies a small group through Botswana, guiding the experience personally from beginning to end.

Others are independent safaris, thoughtfully designed in conversation with you and arranged through trusted camps and operators, allowing you to explore at your own pace.

Both are shaped by the same philosophy - moving gently through Botswana’s landscapes, with care, knowledge, and a deep respect for the places and communities that make them remarkable.

Your Host

Portrait of host in the wilderness at sunset.

I was raised in Botswana’s wilderness, not introduced to it later in life.

My connection to this landscape began long before tourism shaped the Delta as it is today - through family, community, and a way of moving through place that prioritised respect, patience, and understanding over spectacle.

Today, I lead and design journeys through Botswana with that same philosophy. I work closely with trusted local operators and licensed guides, shaping each safari with care - balancing structure and flexibility, planning and presence - so guests can travel without needing to think about the details.

My role is to hold the journey together from beginning to end, allowing you to be fully immersed in the experience.

Begin a Conversation

Every journey begins differently.

Some start with a place, others with a season, a question, or a feeling. From there, the details take shape - quietly, carefully, and in conversation.

If you’re considering travel through Botswana, I’d be glad to explore what that could look like with you.
